Prep & aftercare
A little prep makes all the difference. Follow these steps before and after your appointment to care for your skin and keep your glow looking its best.
Before your tan
- Exfoliate 24–48 hours before with a mitt or gentle scrub.
- Complete hair removal 24–48 hours before your appointment.
- Stay hydrated and moisturize daily leading up to your tan. Skip moisturizer on appointment day.
- Shower 2–6 hours before and arrive with clean, dry skin. Avoid Dove soap and heavy products that leave residue. Native and Method body washes are suggested options.
- No moisturizer, perfume, deodorant, or makeup at your appointment.
- Tan at your comfort level, nude, in underwear, or in a bikini. Have loose, dark clothing ready for afterward.
After your tan
- Wear loose clothing and flip-flops. Go without a bra for at least 6 hours.
- Rinse with lukewarm water and turn until the water runs clear. Do not use soap or lotion during this rinse. Pat dry.
- The bronzer rinses off; your color keeps developing. DHA continues activating for the next 8 hours.
- Avoid exercise for at least 24 hours. Sweat may cause streaking.
- Wait at least 12 hours before hair or nail appointments.
- Avoid parabens, glycolic acid or other alpha hydroxy acids, and sodium lauryl sulfate. Skip loofahs, shower puffs, and washcloths.
- Moisturize morning and night after your initial rinse and development period. Use a moisturizing, soap-free body wash to help extend your tan.

We customize your shade to your skin tone and desired glow. A bridal trial lets you see the result before your wedding.
Typically, around 7–10 days, depending on your skin, preparation, and aftercare.
We’ll provide rinse instructions based on your selected solution and desired shade.
Use lukewarm water without soap, rinse until the water runs clear, and gently pat dry. Wait until the next day’s shower before applying lotion.
Choose loose, dark clothing and flip-flops. During your tan, wear whatever you feel comfortable in: underwear, a bikini, or nothing.

Wait at least 24 hours before exercising to avoid sweating while your tan develops.

Bride-only appointments are available. Bridal Party Glow includes the bride plus 2 guests at $150 per person. The Glow Party is for 4 or more people, including the bride, at $145 per person. All group tans take place during one appointment at the same location.
